My time as a Branch Manager with Student Painters started when someone came to my class and asked if I would enjoy setting my own schedule and making at least $5,000 for the summer of 2014. I signed up and thought why not. I would love to do both of these things. This is exactly what happened once I was hired as a Branch Manager. As a freshman in college with little experience and honestly a bland resume, Student Painters gave me the best internship I could have imagined and all it takes is some hard work and the right attitude. Now I can put on my resume that I started and managed a successful painting franchise in the span of 7 short months. Student Painters has given me the opportunity to learn valuable skills (in the real world) in management, communication, sales, customer service, accounting, and much more. Many internships focus on one aspect but SP focuses on every aspect of a business. I would HIGHLY recommend this opportunity if it is presented to you. However, you must be the type of individual who is willing to put in the hard work, have an exceptional attitude, and be willing to push yourself the absolute limit.

My name is Julie Archer and I just became the first and only female in the OH-KY division to successfully complete her internship with Student Painters this summer. At the end of it all, my business generated a revenue of over $40,000 while profiting roughly $6,000. At the beginning of the summer, I had reservations about my ability to accomplish what I have. Yet I did! The journey, while challenging, has allowed me to grow exponentially. I have learned how to manage employees, overcome unexpected challenges and cope with stress. This new skill set will traverse the work place and forever remind me of the Student Painter family. Overall, the experience as a Branch Manager has been irreplaceable and I'm glad I didn't quit when the going got tough. Victory is sweet for anyone willing to take a leap of faith and do the unimaginable.
