I took on the internship because I figured it’d be a good way to get the experience to land me another internship or get experience of running a business. I got a lot of growth personally and professionally from it.
I definitely consider myself a more introverted person, but my job after college is going to be in sales because I learned through this internship how to build relationships and build trust with people. For me that’s what I realized was the most fun part of running a business. The position I have after I graduate is going to be an account executive at Brooksource, one of the top 3 IT staffing companies in the Detroit market. This is definitely an internship where you grow a lot professionally. You get some bullet points for your resume, but you also grow a lot personally.
