Elijah LeMar

My name is Elijah LeMar, and I am a sophomore at UMass Amherst. I ran an $80,000 business that required an immense amount of work and sacrifice but was incredibly rewarding and fun. Through this internship, I had the opportunity to work with over 30 customers and complete a variety of projects. I also hired more than 20 high school and college students to be part of my team.

This experience was the perfect opportunity for me because I strongly believe in taking advantage of new challenges and stepping outside of your comfort zone. Growth happens when you push yourself beyond what feels easy, and this internship truly tested me in those areas. Over the summer, I developed a very positive mindset and strived each day to become the best version of myself.

I originally took this internship for the real-world experience and mentorship that came with it, but I never realized just how much of a positive impact it would have on my life.
