Going into my sophomore year at the University of Dayton, I was determined to find an internship that would allow me to make money and strengthen my resume. In the fall, I came across Young Entrepreneurs Across America and immediately knew this opportunity was unlike any other. I had the chance to not only run my own business but also earn $15,000 in profit while employing 30 high school and college students.
When I started this internship, I had no experience in outdoor work, painting, or management. By running a $120,000 business, I was able to grow tremendously as a person while developing valuable skills in sales, management, leadership, customer relations, and accountability.
Looking back on the summer, I am amazed by how much I accomplished as a sophomore in college. I highly encourage anyone seeking a challenging and rewarding internship to learn more about this program and take advantage of the opportunity it provides.
