The Power of Teamwork: Spotlight on Lutz’s Painting Crew

When the summer began in Villas Hills, Kentucky, Jameson Lutz set out with one clear mission in mind. He wanted to build a crew that worked hard, had fun, and delivered top-tier results. As a Branch Manager for Student Painters, Lutz wanted to lead one of the most productive teams in the entire country. Fast forward to mid-season, and his crew is doing exactly that. Now ranked among the top three crews in overall production as of July. 7, 2025, Lutz and his team are proving that grit, teamwork, and a shared purpose can turn a summer job into something truly memorable.

Silas Shellenbarger, Lorenzo Rose, Jason Teismann, AJ Kline, and Manuel Zubiri make up Lutz’s crew. Each of them plays an essential role in helping the team reach its goals.

“We are a solid group of hardworking guys that have fun while almost always beating the budget,” said Teismann.

The crew attributes much of their success to their strong teamwork and shared dedication.

“Our crew is gritty, hardworking, and always dialed in,” added Rose.

Manuel Zubiri, originally from Argentina, joined Lutz’s crew as a painter to gain valuable experience while also working toward a personal goal.

“I decided to work with Student Painters because it aligned with two of my main goals: gaining hands-on management experience and saving money. This job gave me a chance to grow professionally while also saving money for a trip I have planned to visit my girlfriend's family in Italy,” said Zubiri.

Zubiri saw Student Painters as an opportunity to develop his skills and grow as a business professional.

“This is a valuable opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a real-world environment.”

He's not the only one gaining valuable experience this summer. Production Manager AJ Kline has also enjoyed working with Lutz’s crew.

“This is a good opportunity to work outside. It’s also motivating to see the transformation of each house we paint. It’s great knowing we provided a beneficial service to the homeowner,” said Kline.

Kline looks forward to every job site, embracing the new challenges each day brings.

“Knowing I am going to learn something and grow each day is what motivates me to push through this season for my team.”

Lutz is proud of the effort, drive, and compassion his crew has shown throughout the season.

"It’s a blessing to hit our first production goal. None of this would be possible without my rockstar production and marketing teams," said Lutz.

The crew plans to continue pushing hard this summer, aiming to break records while creating unforgettable memories together.
